Profitable Association, Inc. is led by Patrick Wilson. In this capacity, Pat serves PAI's clients as their Trusted Advisor, Chief Growth Strategist, and as a dedicated extension to their leadership teams. He uses his more than 20 years of experience as a top-flight business development and consultative sales executive, entrepreneur, business owner, and strategic partner to associations to deliver multiple start-up, turnaround and revenue growth success stories for association non-dues revenue programs, events and strategic planning. Pat’s sales, managerial, project management, and technology experience in the corporate world enables him to bring a well-rounded, strategic, bottom-line approach when helping associations meet their real-world business challenges. Pat has been active with the American Society of Association Executives, and is also an advisor for the entrepreneurship program at the Busch School of Business VentureLab at his alma mater, Catholic University. A native of Seattle, Washington and avid sports fan, Pat and his wife Angela live in Washington, D.C., and have three children.
Heather brings over a decade of sales operations, advertising, and business experience to PAI. Heather was Advertising Sales Director at TMBI, where she oversaw the sales teams for Reader’s Digest, Taste of Home, Family Handyman, and their enthusiast publications. Beforehand, she lead the print production department at People Magazine, where she was responsible for the ad positioning and production of over 52 issues per year. Heather began her career working for Worth Magazine, where she helped produce a bi-monthly luxury/financial magazine and launched their Curator/A Global Luxury Event series. She is originally from CT and received her undergraduate degree from NYU.
Lindsay is a United States Naval Aviation Veteran. She brings a wealth of experience in strategic organizational optimization, process improvement and efficacy measurement. Her specialties also include interpersonal communication, relationship building and event coordination. Lindsay believes that a positive attitude coupled with determination and grit is a key factor in success. Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Oakland University. She is a former Michigander with a love for all things ocean and now lives the salt-life in Florida with her husband and two children spending as much time on the water as they can.
Dave’s background is as a mechanical engineer, working in various roles and responsibilities until a career change opportunity came along. Since that change over 15 years ago, he has specialized in technical B2B trade publications and events where he can leverage his engineering knowledge and practice to help grow client’s business. Dave and his wife Wendi live in the Granite state where they enjoy being outside – especially autumn and playing in the snow during winter. They are the proud parents of three cats.
Ellen has been with PAI for twenty years and maintains the organization’s database, ensuring that clients have the targeted leads and updated information they need. Prior to working for PAI, Ellen worked in marketing for a non-profit association and received her marketing degree from the University of Maryland. She enjoys hiking with her husband, Jeff, and yellow lab, Scout, and has two children currently attending the University of Maryland.
Ashley has more than 19 years of professional experience supporting high-achieving executives. She is the calm in rapidly changing environments and prioritizes with great attention to detail and a keen sense of organizational strategy. Ashley is continuing to further her education at the University of West Florida. A native of Washington state, she relocated to Florida with the Air Force and fell in love with the Sunshine State! Ashley and her family love to spend as much time outdoors as possible either playing sports or hanging on their boat.
Maddie is a recent Consumer Behavior and Marketplace Studies graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She brings her Gen-Z insights, consumer-focused knowledge, and research power to the PAI team. Her background includes the visual arts, as she also studied Art History at UW. Before connecting with PAI, Maddie worked for a textile gallery as a collection’s assistant, where she assisted with archival organization and digital object-tracking. Before that, she worked as a Social Media Marketing intern for a small business. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
AnnMarie is a seasoned sales enthusiast with a knack for building meaningful relationships and driving business growth. She has a diverse background spanning across various industries including manufacturing, information technology, higher education, and fashion/beauty. Throughout her time in these industries, she has honed skills in business development, account management, marketing, sales, and recruitment. AnnMarie grew up on a farm in the heartland of Ohio where she learned the value of hard work. Fueled by a love for fashion and consumer trends, she graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising & Product Development. Her journey led her to the bustling streets of New York City where she kickstarted her career with Steve Madden and Nordstrom. While the industries she has transitioned to since then may differ, the underlying principles of creativity, consumer focus, and strategic thinking remain consistent. In her free time, AnnMarie enjoys traveling abroad, playing tennis, live music, trying new local spots, volunteering at Ronald McDonald House, and spending time with her Siamese kitten, Alfie. Now, as she calls Charlotte, NC her home, she is thrilled to bring her positive energy and expertise to the vibrant team at PAI.
